The Maxwell Solution
Maxwell Biomedical is developing a novel device-based solution designed to transform the care of patients with AF and HF, two common and lethal heart disorders.
The device can quickly sense and correct AF episodes, keeping the heart in normal rhythm and preventing the disease from worsening. The device also enables remote monitoring and tele-health services for optimal patient management.
Unlike current AF therapies such as drugs and ablation, which are only effective for short-term relief, Maxwell Biomedical’s Spatial Resynchronization Therapy (SRT) System offers a potential long-lasting solution for AF patients.
The SRT System is a tiny implantable device that delivers imperceptible therapy to different regions of the heart, without damaging the tissue. The SRT System will bea comprehensive device that can diagnose, treat, and manage AF in a personalized and convenient way.
Spatial Resynchronization™ Therapy System for AFib
Spatial Resynchronization Therapy Features
The Maxwell SRT System performs continuous ECG monitoring, when AFib is detected, automatic imperceptible therapy is immediately delivered to restore the heart to normal rhythm.
Imperceptible Resynchronization Therapy
The Maxwell SRT System does not require vascular access, just two small incisions, one to place the pulse generator and a second to implant the wireless multielectrode array.
Minimally Invasive Procedure
The Maxwell SRT System offers continuous monitoring, recording, and diagnosis of AFib events and securely uploads data to the cloud for physician-patient review.
